How long will my order take to get to me?
Shipping times vary depending on your shipping address. Once our retail partner is able to verify your age and shipping address, they’ll approve your order and add a tracking number. Orders are typically shipped within 5 business days.

If your order has been approved, you can find your tracking number in your account (if you made one) or in your confirmation email.

Do I need to be present when my order is delivered?
An adult (age 21 or older) will need to be present to sign an age-verification receipt for the package.

Can I ship my package to a PO Box or UPS/Fedex/USPS Store?

Packages cannot be shipped to PO boxes or local carrier locations. Orders that are placed and addressed to these locations will be rejected and refunded. For orders that have been placed to ship to acceptable locations, you may be able to schedule a pick-up at a local carrier location.

The best way to do this is to check the tracking link in your order confirmation email and follow the carrier’s instructions.

What do I do if my package says that it’s been delivered, but is missing?

First, double-check the shipping address to make sure it’s correct. If the address is correct, file a claim with the carrier via your tracking link so that they can begin looking into the matter as soon as possible.

Then, reply to your order email or email  to notify us about the issue so that we can also contact the retailer who shipped your order.

New Deal Distillery FAQs

Why New Deal?

New Deal Distillery has been proudly crafting small batch, award-winning spirits in Portland, Oregon since 2004. Inspired by the DIY creative culture of Portland’s pioneering craft brewers, wine makers and artisans, New Deal Distillery was founded to meet the need for locally-made, small-batch, quality spirits.

When we began, we were one of the smallest licensed distilleries in America. There were only a handful of American craft distilleries even in existence and we had to figure out a lot without a roadmap. We have grown over the years in many ways, but are proud to have always remained independently owned. This gives us the freedom to continually explore experimental methods, ingredients, and spirit styles.

Do you have specific cocktail suggestions and recipes?

If you’re looking for new drink ideas, we’re here to help! We have tons of Recipes on our Website that can be easily sorted by season, spirit, or style. You’ll find classics, holiday cocktails, easy-to-make options, and more. Like our founder, Tom Burkleaux always says, “a well-stocked bar is a terrible thing to waste.”

Where does New Deal Distillery source their ingredients?

All of our artisan spirits are made in small batches with Bull Run water and natural and organic ingredients. We are always working on something new and source locally whenever possible. For example, we crush fresh, organic ginger root for our New Deal Ginger Liqueur and 100% estate-grown Bartlett pears for our Pear Brandy. Our pears come from a nearby orchard in Hood River, Oregon and the foundation of our New Deal Vodka is soft winter wheat from Eastern Oregon. We even use locally roasted coffee from Marigold Coffee to craft our Coffee Liqueur.

I live in or will be visiting Oregon, is your distillery open to the public?

Our distillery is once again fully operational and our Bottle Shop is open daily for sample tastes and bottles sales. We do not yet have a timeline for when we will be reopening the distillery for sit-down tastings, tours, events or classes. Our production area and Tasting Room shared a lot of space. A complex web of workplace Covid regulations and spirit manufacturing regulations make it difficult to grant access to the public as we did in the past. If you have questions regarding how to purchase New Deal spirits in the Portland Metro area, please see our FAQs.
